Over the weekend, Alex Rodriguez was spotted in Italy with a woman.
TMZ published photographs of the New York Yankees great kissing a blonde woman, fitness model Kathryne Padgett, at a nightclub in Capri, Italy. Throughout their night out, Rodriguez and Padgett were seen dancing and playing tambourines. According to TMZ, the ESPN announcer and his date drank white wine before enjoying a public kiss.
Rodriguez’s engagement to Jennifer Lopez ended last year, and a source close to him told PEOPLE that he and Padgett are currently “casually dating,” although the relationship is still very fresh. “They’re just having fun,” the person continued. Padgett shared a selfie of herself and Rodriguez on a yacht with pals over the weekend. She captioned the photo, “Italian summer evenings.”
In addition, the insider told PEOPLE that the vacation to Italy is a family event, and that Rodriguez’s daughters, as well as his ex-wife, were in Capri. “Cynthia [Scurtis] and the girls are all with them. They are having a great time,” revealed the source. Rodriguez has two teenage children, Natasha and Ella, with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis. The divorced couple is still close and spends a lot of time with their daughters.
