Tonight, you’re mine completely

This new video of Lykke Li, at the keys, under candlelight, covering The Shirelles’ “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” reminds me of two key experiences that led to the creation of Yours Truly.

Lykke Li was the subject of the very first “Take Away Show” that Nate and I produced together.  After that we started talking about doing something on our own, and trying to climb out of the long shadow left by Chryde and Vincent, to whom we are eternally grateful.

And the way the candles illuminate Lykke’s features remind me of my all-time favorite La Blogotheque production, the film I watched almost daily, Patrick Watson’s soirées de poche.
