Basia Bulat, Les Concerts A Emporter

So glad that Nate uncovered this footage, which had been missing now for almost 2 years. Basia was playing at The Brookdale Lodge, a little bar up in the Santa Cruz Mountains that’s part gorgeous wooden getaway and part creepy old haunt. Either way, a cool setting for a shoot. After stumbling on an drained indoor pool filled with old tables and chairs, Basia looked at the pool, looked at us, paused, and gave a nod like, “this is the spot.” Then she grabbed a chair, laid her harpsichord across her lap, and started to sing this song.
