There’s a sweetness to Taken By Trees twist on “My Girls” that tidily clears its place beside the original. While Panda Bear’s grand vocals project the lyrics as a commanding ode to his wife and child, Victoria Bergsman evenly explains the beauty in the simple things: four walls and adobe slats for her boys. And who would begrudge her that, when she asks so nicely?
