Man Who Poses As Dead On TikTok Finds New Life As A Corpse On TV Crime Series

Playing dead is one thing, but portraying a corpse on television is quite another.

Josh Nalley has now successfully completed both after posing as a corpse on TikTok every day since October 2021 earned him a part in a future CSI: Vegas episode. He will undoubtedly be portraying a deceased individual.

“I got an email from CBS that said they’d seen me on TikTok and wanted to offer me the part,” Nalley, 42, disclosed to the Courier Journal. “At first I didn’t believe it, but they flew me out to California. It turned out that Mario Van Peebles was the director for that episode so besides getting cast in the show, I also got to meet him, which was great.”

Nalley spent a year trying to get an acting job based only on recordings of him lying still in various locations, but eventually found the role of a lifetime. According to the Washington Post, it all began when he made the decision to try to catch “a little bit of virality” last year. He then recorded films each day for 300 days with a message that said how long he had been pretending to be dead before being “cast in a movie or TV show as an un-alive body.”
