Drake and NBA YoungBoy are among the top streaming artists of 2022, demonstrating hip-hop’s continued supremacy on the charts. In 2022, NBA YoungBoy is the musician with the second-highest number of streams, followed by Drake. According to HitsDailyDouble, nearly half of the top ten songs in the rankings are from the hip-hop genre.

With over 12 billion streams combined, Drake and NBA YoungBoy are in first and second place. The 6 God outscored other top-streaming artists like Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and The Weeknd to claim the #1 spot. He surpassed 6.7 billion streams, which is a massive 1.3 billion more than NBA YoungBoy, who is currently in second place.

Kanye West, Future, and Lil Durk are also in the top 10, as is the late Juice WRLD, who has more over 3.5 billion streams. Hip-hop groups also heavily influence positions 11 through 20. Rod Wave, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Baby, Post Malone, J. Cole, Doja Cat, and Kodak Black are currently in the Top 10, narrowly missing out on Eminem who is currently in the Top 20.

NBA YoungBoy recently disclosed his ambitions to make a new album and said he wants to have ten mixtapes available before the end of the year. He’s currently halfway through and intends to release his sixth project this coming week.
