Cults & Guards Dig For Fire

It was an honor to have Cults come play Yours Tru.ly’s Pillow Talk/Pillow Fight show this year during CMJ. They brought their timeless brand of pop that hypnotized the crowd into believing they were somehow cast decades into the past. Doo-wop ditties galore, Cults re-ignited or infused the flower child in all of us that night. And, as a special treat, they brought along Guards, a band that includes several members of Cults, for their first show ever! Similar to Cults, Guards will consume your life once you give them a listen – you’ll want to know more, but you won’t get much info. But, that’s of no concern in the end. They’re sound drives through your skull like a battering ram and, despite the lack of info and abundance of songs, you’ll only be grateful for the bits you have.
