Yearning is a complex feeling. It’s a push and pull of your limbs that carves endless emotions in your mind, rendering you exhaustively, yet perfectly helpless – and within that exhaustion and perfection lies the complexity. You’re left abandoned and bereft by an unattainable love, yet that yearning is fueled by an alluring, innately divine passion for love. Such is the theme within “Love Me” by Luxembourg’s Sun Glitters. An ominous bassline lies below the surface of murming, bubbling melodies. Like helpless pleas of a drowning spirit, a pitch-shifted voice implores, “Love me,” desperate for an amorous salvation. Yet, within this utter powerlessness, a certain, undeniable beauty arises – inherent in the credo that love is the only savior.
Such heartache may last a long time, but time can heal those wounds. Just remember that, at some point, everything could be fine.
