Swells
Fingers sticky with cotton candy, you grasp the lap bar on the tilt-o-whirl. Your eyes open and close, overwhelmed with a swirl of bright, blinking lights. Your heart beats faster than the butterfly wings fluttering in your stomach and with every spin the thrill of the carnival overcomes you. Norse Horse’s “Swells” perfectly encapsulates the romance of the carnival; the giddy guitars and charismatic mix of melodies a sweet match to the iconic images chosen by Alice Cohen for the track’s video. Carefree and comforting, the happy SoCal pop is a stroll down the boardwalk and a ring around the milk jug. Grids, the SoCal band’s forthcoming release on Family Time Records, is streamind below and officially out August 23rd, just in time for the dog days of summer and a first kiss on the Ferris wheel.
