AEG Presents And Young Thug’s $6M Legal Battle Will Have A Court Date In October 2023

Young Thug has probably been spending an increasing amount of time preparing for his upcoming trial in January 2023 related to the 56-count YSL gang charge, but that’s not the only legal struggle the So Much Fun rapper will have to deal with then.

According to AllHipHop, Thugger has been issued yet another trial date, this time in October, for the breach of contract case he is facing from concert promoter AEG Presents, who is also demanding more than $5 million in damages from the 31-year-old. AEG is suing Young Thug for the return of a multi-million dollar advance they gave him in exchange for exclusive rights to all of his shows several years ago.

The business claimed in December 2020 that Jeffery Williams signed a contract in 2017 that he violated virtually right afterwards. Even though Thug’s concerts were purportedly subject to AEG’s exclusive rights, he continued to schedule shows independently and earn hundreds of thousands of dollars in performance fees.

Young Thug allegedly included some of his intellectual property rights as collateral in the agreement when AEG demanded $5M with interest. As a result, in order to recuperate the advance, AEG is attempting to seize possession of the YSL brands, some of his publishing list, as well as the Young Thug trademark.
