Making History, Taylor Swift Takes Hold Of The Entire US Top 10 Charts

Taylor Swift is the first performer in history to hold a spot in each of the top 10 positions on the US singles chart. Drake, who had previously held the record with nine top 10 songs, is surpassed by her in September 2021. The Beatles achieved eight top 10s in 1964 before him. The fastest-selling album of 2022, Midnights, by Taylor Swift, is to blame for her dominance on the charts.

“10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES,” wrote the pop star in her tweet.

The 32-year-old’s track, Anti-Hero, which features a chorus with the lyrics, “It’s me. Hi! I’m the problem, it’s me,” has recently become popular on Tik Tok. Lavender Haze, Maroon, Snow On The Beach, Bejewelled, and Karma are just a few of the album tunes that make up the remaining top 10. Only Sam Smith’s Unholy at number eleven and Steve Lacy’s Bad Habits at number twelve keep all 13 of the tracks from Midnights’ regular edition out of the top 15.

Between numbers 20 and 45 are the seven extra songs from the deluxe “3am edition” of Midnights. Swift’s announcement of the new album in the last seconds of the 2022 MTV VMAs in New Jersey in August caught fans off guard. Her description of the album is “a journey through terrors and sweet dreams” and “the story of 13 restless nights scattered throughout my life.”
